We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team which spans mechanical, electrical, materials, robotics, AI, and software engineering. This role is ideal for someone passionate about robotics, AI, and building hard tech. You’ll play a key role in the growth of our Client at the ground-level.

$120,000-175,000 Salary + Equity

Our Client designs, engineers and deploys AI-driven robotic systems that automate the construction of compressed earth walls for residential and commercial structures at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods. Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical components and systems using CAD and FEA tools.
- Collaborate within product development and engineering teams to produce prototypes and iterative designs.
- Redesign the layout of all system hardware in a bumper-pull trailer.
- Source components for new design.
- Draft a bill of materials with cost estimation.
- Redesign the wire rope system.
- Redesign the system to eliminate the need for guy wires.
- Ensure manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Partner with supply chain and production teams to align material procurement with design requirements.
- Document and standardize mechanical design changes for auditability and knowledge transfer.
- Support automation initiatives by integrating mechanical systems with controls, robotics, and sensors.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Experience: 10+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role designing product(s), systems, subsystems, components for manufacturing purposes, with a proven ability to refine designs for desired outcomes such as cost, durability, useability, and scalability.
- Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management (SCM) Experience: Hands-on experience in supporting a manufacturing line, assembly, and/or troubleshooting is desired.
- Human Factors Engineering Experience: Experience designing systems, products, and environments to be safe, comfortable, and effective for human use is desired.
- Mechanical Design & Analysis: Proficiency in designing mechanical components and systems using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA). Ability to perform stress, thermal, and vibration analysis to ensure reliability and performance.
- Automation, Electrical and Industrial Integration: Supporting automation initiatives by integrating mechanical systems with controls, robotics, and sensors.
- Product Development & Prototyping: Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop prototypes, iterate designs, and transition products from concept to production.
- Reliability, Safety & Compliance: Ensuring mechanical systems meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and long-term reliability expectations.
- Cross-Disciplinary Engineering Knowledge: Familiarity with adjacent disciplines (Electrical, Industrial, Civil) to enable holistic system design and effective communication with specialized teams.
