Founding Engineer – AI HealthTech Startup (React Native)
Permanent | Remote (Europe) | €100k + Equity
We’re working with a fully funded early-stage HealthTech startup building a cross-platform mobile app that helps people improve their wellbeing through AI-driven coaching and behaviour-change tools. A working v1 of the product is already built, and we’re now looking for a Founding Engineer to take ownership of the mobile app and help drive it to a polished, production-ready launch.
What You’ll Do
- Own the build, architecture and iteration of the React Native app (Expo).
- Ship quickly: turn concepts into stable, user-ready features.
- Work directly with the founder on product direction and technical decisions.
- Improve performance, reliability, and end-to-end user experience.
- Integrate deeper native iOS features where needed (notifications, sensors, voice).
- Collaborate across the stack when required (Python backend, Supabase).
Tech & Experience
- Expert-level React Native (Expo).
- Strong understanding of iOS / native integrations (Swift or deep platform knowledge).
- Experience with REST APIs, analytics, and real-time or data-intensive features.
- CI/CD exposure (EAS, Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions).
- Bonus: HealthKit, VoIP, WebRTC, A/B testing, on-device ML, or AI integrations.
