Project Manager (Financial / Workforce Analytics)
Location: 100% Remote (US-based)
Pay Rate: $52 to $56 per hour
Duration: 6-month contract to start, strong potential to extend to 12 months
About the Role
We are supporting a large, global organization that is running several enterprise-level programs critical to their 2026 roadmap. This role is a hands-on Project Manager position with a strong focus on financial tracking, workforce planning, and capacity management.
You will partner closely with Finance, Engineering, HR, and Project Management teams to track headcount, budgets, forecasts, and project progress across multiple initiatives. This is not a pure data analyst role and not a people manager role. This is a detail-oriented, execution-focused position for someone who enjoys being hands-on and driving visibility.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Track and forecast headcount across multiple programs and project pipelines
- Partner with Finance and FP&A teams during forecast cycles and financial close
- Monitor project budgets against actual headcount costs and identify variances
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for leadership
- Follow up with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders on progress and capacity
- Track tasks and timelines using tools like Jira, Monday.com, or Smartsheet
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, forecasting, and tracking processes
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, workforce analytics, or financial analysis
- Strong financial background (budgeting, forecasting, AOP, financial close)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with capacity management, time tracking, or resource planning
- Understanding of project management lifecycles
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Tableau or Power BI
- Jira, Monday.com, or Smartsheet
- Workforce management or resource planning experience
- Exposure to SQL or Python (not required)
- PMP certification
