Job Description


Overview of the Role

Our well-known pharmaceutical client is seeking a skilled Marketing Automation Specialist to support a high-impact digital marketing team. This role is focused on building and optimizing 1:1 omnichannel marketing programs using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong collaboration skills, and a passion for precision in campaign execution.

The Basics

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Hours: 40 hours/week
  • Location: Fully remote (CST)

Top 3 Required Qualifications

  1. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification
  2. Advanced proficiency in SFMC tools including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder
  3. Strong coding skills in SQL and AMPScript, with working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

Other Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in database marketing, CRM, email, digital, direct mail, and 1:1 marketing
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience building campaigns in SFMC
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong documentation and QA skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and analytical thinking

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and execute complex omnichannel marketing journeys and trigger-based campaigns
  • Ensure high-quality, error-free implementation and QA of all marketing automation programs
  • Monitor and optimize email deliverability, inbox placement, and IP reputation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, brand teams, analytics, and creative partners
  • Implement personalization strategies including segmentation, dynamic content, and targeting
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with internal policies and procedures
  • Lead campaign optimization efforts through A/B testing and performance analysis
  • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in 1:1 marketing
