Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver high-quality production code across both backend and frontend
- Architect and iterate on complex product features that drive measurable impact
- Collaborate directly with the CEO, engineers, and product/design team members in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Make fast, data-informed technical decisions that align with product and user goals
- Introduce and champion best practices, tools, and ideas to elevate the product and engineering culture
Qualifications & Experience
- 6+ years of fullstack development experience, ideally in startup environments
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend and React with TypeScript for frontend
- Track record of shipping software in production environments across the full tech stack
- Minimum 3 years of tenure at a Series A or Series B startup
- Self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity and take ownership without micromanagement
- Team-first mindset with a strong bias for action and continuous improvement
- Located in or willing to relocate to the NYC metro area with availability to work onsite 2-3 days per week
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, CloudFront, and Elastic Beanstalk
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test-driven development practices
- Background in software architecture, scalability, and system design
- Experience in a senior IC or technical leadership capacity
