Job Description
HR Generalist — Build the People Engine of a Global Remote Team
About Us
We’re one of the fastest-growing companies helping law firms scale using offshore talent—and we’re just getting started. Founder-led. Remote-first. High-performance. High-trust. We operate across multiple continents with a world-class distributed team. Our people systems are the backbone of our scale. We don’t do bureaucracy or fluff; we do smart systems that empower great people to do their best work.
The Role
We are looking for a Systems-First HR Generalist to own and scale our core people operations.
This isn't a compliance-heavy role. We use global employment partners to handle local labor laws and payroll complexity so that you can focus on the high-impact stuff: designing employee experiences, driving performance, and building a culture that elite talent never wants to leave.
Why This Role Rocks
- Pure Impact: You focus on culture and performance, not filing local tax forms.
- Architecture: You’re not just following a handbook; you’re writing it.
- Direct Access: You’ll work closely with leadership to bridge the gap between business goals and people strategy.
- True Remote-First: We don’t just "allow" remote; we are built for it.
What You’ll Actually Do
- Design & Deploy: Build and manage the full employee lifecycle (onboarding, engagement, and offboarding) for a global team.
- Performance Coaching: Act as a partner to team leads—helping them manage feedback loops, goal setting, and growth tracks.
- Culture Architect: Drive recognition and engagement initiatives that keep a distributed team feeling connected and high-energy.
- Systems Management: Own our HR tech stack (HRIS) and ensure data-driven insights are used to improve retention and happiness.
- Strategic Partner: Collaborate with leadership to refine our "People Engine" as we double in size.
You’ll Be a Perfect Fit If You…
- Have 3–5+ years of hands-on HR experience in fast-paced environments.
- Hate fluff. You prefer a clear process over a vague policy.
- Understand the nuances of remote-first culture (asynchronous communication, trust-based management).
- Can balance high empathy with the decisiveness needed in a high-performance team.
- Are tech-savvy and comfortable leveraging HRIS tools to automate the "boring stuff."
This Role Isn’t for You If…
- You want to spend your day researching local labor codes (our partners handle that).
- You prefer slow-moving, corporate environments with 10 layers of approval.
- You struggle with ambiguity or need a pre-existing manual to get started.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of HR experience (startup or scale-up experience is a huge plus).
- Proven ability to design and implement HR systems from scratch.
- Exceptional communication skills—calm, clear, and assertive.
- Familiarity with modern HRIS tools (e.g., BambooHR, Rippling, HiBob, or similar).
What We Offer
- Ownership: Full autonomy over the people function.
- Competitive Compensation: Based on experience.
- Growth: A seat at the table as we scale globally.
- No Micromanagement: We hire adults and treat them as such.
