Job Summary
We have a great opportunity for a Senior Research Analyst to lead the design, development, and delivery of robust quantitative research programmes that directly address strategic and operational questions from senior stakeholders. This includes managing existing relationship studies across professional (B2B) and citizen (B2C) customer groups, while also identifying opportunities to streamline, improve, and expand HM Land Registry’s (HMLR) suite of quantitative research.

In this role you will report into the Head of Customer Insight and will work as part of an established small, dynamic, and highly effective multi-disciplinary customer and market insight team, collaborating closely to deliver high-impact insight that drives strategic decision-making and service improvement.
As a hands-on research expert, you will design, manage and expand/improve high-quality surveys, apply advanced analytical techniques, and triangulate findings with existing knowledge and insight as well as other internal data to build compelling, evidence-based narratives that drive change. You will extract actionable insights from customer feedback and performance data, ensuring that customer metrics are embedded into service design and performance management.
A key part of the role is to communicate findings clearly and persuasively, tailoring messages to different audiences and influencing decision-makers at all levels. You will champion the use of evidence to improve customer experience and support continuous improvement across the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will be a member of the Government Social Research profession Or have a MRS Advanced Certificate + significant experience or equivalent Or MRS Diploma or equivalent Or Bachelor degree with substantial research related focus.
You Will Have Experience In
- Significant experience leading large-scale quantitative customer market research programmes as a practitioner, with hands-on responsibility across the full research lifecycle.
- Synthesising and interpreting quantitative data to build compelling insight stories that drive action. This includes identifying patterns, connecting findings to strategic priorities, and framing insight in a way that resonates with decision-makers.
- Developing and working with structured coding frameworks for survey verbatim. This includes applying thematic analysis techniques to surface key themes, sentiment, and emerging issues, and identifying insight opportunities that inform strategic priorities and service improvements.
- Communicating insight with impact: tailoring messages to different audiences, using storytelling techniques, and influencing senior stakeholders to act on evidence.
