Job Description

Now more than ever, our world needs mental health professionals. Day in and day out, they’re doing their best to provide exceptional care to an increasing number of patients. But they’re working with generic or simplistic tools that limit their potential and growth. We want to change all that – by giving behavioral health organizations everything they need to thrive.

Valant is an established market-leading, software-as-a-service organization serving the unique needs of the behavioral healthcare industry. Our purpose is to make our world a mentally healthier place and we’re seeking enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join us as we transform the industry! If that sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Customers and other Valant product stakeholders to gather product requirements and translate them into actionable work items for the engineering team to implement
  • Own the rollout of new features throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Create user-stories, acceptance criteria, and protocols for acceptance testing
  • Assist with release preparation, including deployment planning and execution, preparation of release notes and other content, training internal teams, etc.
  • Work with senior leadership, product, and engineering leadership to build the product roadmap
  • Work closely with software engineers to turn user stories into product features
  • Support knowledge transfer to customer and Valant stakeholders related to feature releases
  • Assist Sales and Marketing teams with Product Marketing and Go-to-market activities
  • Define and prioritize new features and strategic initiatives to support revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and scalability of internal operations
  • Leverage digital tools and data to monitor feature adoption/success
  • Develop and maintain a “go to” level of expertise with Valant’s software solutions
  • Manage Product Partner vendor relationships
  • Monitor trends in Valant core and adjacent markets to help inform product strategy
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to integrate LLMs and Generative AI into Valant’s product suite to enhance user experience, automate workflows, and improve clinical outcomes

What You’ll Need

Required

  • At least 3 years’ agile software product management experience, preferably enterprise B2B
  • Passion for meeting complex, enterprise healthcare problems with elegant, simple user experiences
  • The ability to make data driven trade-off decisions between possible and desirable, finding leverage opportunities, which requires a good sense of what is technically feasible
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive, proactive mindset combined with excellent prioritization and task management skills
  • Ability to story board, and create basic mockups and wireframes
  • Analytical, methodical approach to problem solving – ability to break concepts and requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and logical iterative steps for development
  • Ability to provide clear direction, set measurable goals, manage details, and track delivery
  • Experience working with and implementing products that leverage LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, Gemini, Replit)
  • Familiarity with the healthcare domain, revenue cycle management (RCM), prompt engineering, and UX design are pluses

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation package, including 100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision premiums and HSA contributions
  • Generous paid time off and paid sick time policy
  • Bonus plans
  • 401k with partial match!
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI features that shape the future of behavioral healthcare
  • Ability to work remotely with a strong internet connection
  • Salary Range for this position is $85,000-120,000
