Job Description


  • Title: Industrial Engineer (Manufacturing) (Remote)
  • Engagement: Hourly contract (independent contractor)
  • Location: Remote – candidates based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Europe, Singapore, Dubai, or Australia who are legally able to work as independent contractors in their jurisdiction.


We are hiring for one of our clients seeking experienced industrial engineers to contribute expertise in operations optimization, production systems, and process improvement to AI evaluation and enhancement projects.


Role Overview

In this role, you will apply your industrial engineering knowledge, analytical reasoning, and process improvement experience to help evaluate and refine AI systems. No prior experience with artificial intelligence is required. Training and guidance will be provided.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and solve real-world industrial and production engineering problems to assess AI reasoning and outputs.
  • Develop clear, structured written solutions related to workflow design, production planning, lean principles, and quality control.
  • Review and evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy, analytical soundness, and operational insight.
  • Collaborate with research teams to enhance AI understanding of process optimization, supply chain management, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as an Industrial Engineer, Process Engineer, or Operations Analyst.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing one) in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, Python) and familiarity with process mapping, workflow design, and optimization techniques.
  • Strong English communication and reasoning skills.
  • Comfortable using web-based tools for data review and annotation.
  • Legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in your country or region of residence.
