Job Description


Professional Services Delivery Implementation Engineer – Remote/Greater Chicago, Greater Dallas Area, Greater Atlanta, Greater Vegas, Greater Seattle, Greater Portland, or Greater Bay areas.

** Fully remote position with up to 66% travel required for post-sales implementation at customer sites/COLOs. Due to the volume of travel, candidate must reside near a major airport hub.


This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology, possess excellent problem-solving skills, are committed to delivering high-quality service to customers and looking to develop their skills to progress their career.


Overview:

This role focuses on implementing various technologies and services for clients ranging from media and entertainment to enterprise sectors. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a proactive, customer-first approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings. Experience in implementing systems in both live and new environments is valuable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on troubleshooting, installation, and configuration of customer solutions.
  • Work closely with customers' IT staff to ensure accurate and timely deployment of solutions.
  • Collaborate with Engineers and Project Managers to deliver pre-sales engineered solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously in high-demand environments.
  • Experience with medium to large data center environments is a plus.


Technical Skills Required:

  • Essential:
  • Network/Service Troubleshooting: Physical Media, Basic Switching, DNS, DHCP
  • Networking CLI: Cisco (CAT-OS), Dell (OS10/SONiC OS)
  • Hypervisor Networking: VMware (Standard vSwitch, vSphere Distributed Switch)
  • Hypervisor Administration: VMware
  • VM Migration: Virtual to Virtual (VMware), Physical to Virtual
  • Desirable:
  • Advanced Networking: Routing, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, Firewall
  • Networking CLI: Cisco (NX-OS), Arista, HP/Aruba, Dell (OS9)/FTOS, Juniper/Extreme
  • Hypervisor Networking: Hyper-V, VMware NSX
  • Hypervisor Administration: Hyper-V, Nutanix
  • VM Migration: Hyper-V to VMware


Experience:

  • 2-4 years in MSP, VAR, ISP, NOC, or enterprise IT.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in critical, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and active listening skills.
  • Basic consultative skills with a knack for identifying and resolving issues proactively.
