Our client in Phoenix, AZ is searching for a GCP Cloud Infrastructure Engineer on a contract basis.
Note:
- This is a Remote role within the United States, must be willing to work MST hours, preference for local resources to AZ
- Open for W2 or Corp to Corp (No 3rd party inquires please)
Overview
Our client in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure cloud infrastructure within the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem. This role requires strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and automation, with a focus on reliability, performance, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- GCP Core Services Expertise:
- VPC networking and configuration
- Cloud DNS
- IAM and authentication/authorization
- Firewall and security best practices
- Network and application load balancers
- Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with Terraform.
- CI/CD & Source Control: Practical experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
- Operating Systems: Strong Linux administration skills.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Certifications: GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or other relevant Google Cloud certifications.
- Automation: Experience scripting with Bash and/or Python.
- Containers & Kubernetes:
- Exposure to container tools such as Docker, Podman, or Buildah
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, either standalone or via managed services (GKE or EKS)
