In this role, you will lead a team of data analysts to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making. You will oversee the analytics lifecycle, from requirements gathering and model development to dashboards, reporting, and quality assurance. Partnering closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will operationalize analytics strategy, implement automation and efficiency improvements, and ensure high standards of data accuracy and reliability. This position offers an opportunity to influence critical decisions across the organization, promote data-driven culture, and contribute to impactful initiatives in a mission-focused, remote-first environment.
Accountabilities
- Lead and develop the analytics team, establishing clear roles, expectations, workflows, and performance standards
- Oversee the full analytics lifecycle, including data validation, modeling, dashboards, and reporting
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce manual effort, and ensure repeatable, high-quality processes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align analytics efforts with organizational priorities and deliver actionable insights
- Maintain data integrity, security, and adherence to governance standards across analytics projects
- Manage ad-hoc projects and provide guidance on complex data challenges to support operational objectives
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field (Master’s preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in data-intensive environments, including at least 3 years in a people leadership role
- Strong understanding of data systems, relationships, and modeling, with ability to learn and adapt to multiple environments
- Expertise in SQL, BI tools, and data visualization platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- Experience with data governance, security, and compliance, including handling PII or sensitive data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain high-quality delivery in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello)
- Competitive salary with annual performance-based bonus eligibility ($71,000–$135,000 range)
- Fully remote work with flexible schedule and focus on results rather than hours
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage (100% employer-paid for employees)
- Paid parental leave (12 weeks) and additional vacation/volunteer days
- Retirement plan with employer match (401k)
- Professional development and career growth opportunities
- Modern tools and technology to support efficient remote work
- Participation in meaningful, mission-driven projects that positively impact communities
