Job Description
- Senior Full Stack Engineer
- Fully remote with a preference for Sydney
- January start
About the Company
This is a hands-on role within an ed-tech start up where the successful candidate will work to accelerate delivery, improve scalability, and strengthen compliance. This is a small team, so a level of autonomy will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Stack Development: Deliver high-quality code across the full stack, with a particular focus on complex back end systems
- Scalability & Performance: Architect and implement solutions that allow the platform to handle a large user base
- Infrastructure & DevOps: Contribute to improving deployment pipelines, monitoring, and scaling strategies.
- Security & Compliance: Adopt a “Security First” mindset, maintain documentation, and support compliance
The stack includes:
- TypeScript, Node.js and Nest.js
- React and Next.js
- Postgres
- Temporal.io and Socket.io (nice to have)
Things to note:
- This role is open to people across Australia to work in a remote capacity, but the preference would be for someone based in Sydney where
