About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for evolving and maintaining Owner’s cloud infrastructure and deployment platform as we continue to scale our operations. This is a senior individual-contributor position with broad ownership across infrastructure, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), Kubernetes, and developer enablement. You will collaborate closely with product engineering teams to identify friction points within our current systems and design innovative solutions to streamline workflows.

Your focus will be on enhancing system reliability, security, and developer productivity, ensuring that our infrastructure not only supports critical customer-facing workloads but also promotes a high-quality developer experience. Your contributions will directly impact the stability, security, and scalability of our platform, enabling us to deliver exceptional service to our clients and maintain our competitive edge in the market.

Qualifications

• Deep experience operating production systems in cloud environments, particularly on AWS
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, ideally Terraform
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes in real-world deployments, troubleshooting, and scaling
• Strong background in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in automating security practices within infrastructure and delivery pipelines
• Empathy for developers, with a focus on eliminating pain points in build, test, deployment, and observability workflows
• Ability to build platform abstractions and tooling that enhance developer efficiency
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and taking ownership of loosely defined problems
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and technical documentation
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate core cloud infrastructure to support Owner’s engineering and product teams
• Manage and enhance our Kubernetes-based platform on AWS, ensuring optimal deployment, scaling, monitoring, and security
• Develop and maintain fast, reliable CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment confidence and developer velocity
• Identify pain points in local development, testing, and deployment workflows, then implement automation and self-service tools to address them
• Partner with application engineers to establish best practices and standardized patterns for service development and deployment
• Strengthen operational excellence by improving monitoring, alerting, incident response, and post-incident analysis processes
• Embed security best practices into infrastructure and deployment pipelines, automating security checks and compliance measures
• Continuously evaluate and improve system reliability, security, and developer experience
