About The Role

Grow Therapy is seeking a highly skilled Staff Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in deepening our understanding of user behaviors, optimizing onboarding processes, and enhancing retention strategies across our digital platforms. You will lead cross-functional initiatives that drive data-driven decision-making, influence product development, and shape our AI strategy. Your expertise will help develop predictive models, attribution frameworks, and behavioral analytics that inform marketing efforts, therapist matching, and innovative AI-powered features. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Operations teams to translate complex data into actionable insights, thereby directly impacting the growth and effectiveness of our mental health services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization dedicated to expanding access to mental health care through innovative technology and data science.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a quantitative role applying analytics, experimentation, and modeling within a product-focused environment
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, modeling, and experimentation
• Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and developing predictive, attribution, and behavioral models
• Strong understanding of user behavior analytics, funnel metrics, and marketplace dynamics
• Proven ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing product or growth strategies through data-driven insights
• Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where strategic alignment across teams is essential
• Passion for improving access to mental health care and interest in AI-driven solutions to support patients and providers

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of experimentation frameworks and metrics to understand user behavior, optimize onboarding, and improve retention across web and mobile platforms
• Build and maintain predictive, attribution, and behavioral models that inform marketing strategies, therapist matching workflows, and AI feature development
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Operations teams to identify opportunities, quantify impact, and drive product roadmaps through data insights
• Create dashboards, analytical frameworks, and self-serve data tools to enable teams to independently answer product-related questions
• Shape Grow Therapy’s AI strategy by designing evaluation frameworks, conducting model experiments, and exploring AI applications that enhance user experiences
• Communicate complex analytical findings to stakeholders clearly and effectively, supporting strategic decision-making
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data science and AI to continuously improve our analytical capabilities

• Competitive base salary within the range of $167,000–$250,000 USD annually, depending on location and experience
