What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Participate in project planning to determine programming and hardware needs, and assist in preparing programming specifications
  • Design, code, test, and debug computer programs, either independently or as part of a team
  • Ensure adherence to development standards, procedures, and processes while maintaining systems compatibility
  • Maintain communication with team leaders, customers, contractors, and vendors to monitor project progress
  • Revise and update computer programs and documentation as necessary

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in technology or software development
  • Working knowledge (2+ years' experience) of Agile Methodologies and SDLC practices
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, Secure Coding practices, and Solutions Development Framework (Docker, Jenkins, GitLab)
  • Experience with API-centric, microservices, and cloud-friendly application designs
  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance and be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Degree from an accredited College/University in a relevant field
  • Knowledge/experience with Change Management and Configuration Management tools (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • Experience with application lifecycle management (ALM)
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, performance tuning, and high observability principles
  • Experience designing and developing event/message-based application services using a message queue (e.g., Apache Kafka)
