Associate Director of Marketing - North America

Permanent | Remote (East Coast preferred)

Salary: $135,000 + 20% Bonus



The Opportunity

We are partnering with a global education-focused organization to appoint an Associate Director of Marketing to lead the North American marketing agenda across the U.S. and Canada.


This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for shaping strategy and driving execution across the full marketing mix, including digital, CRM, content, events, and partner-facing campaigns. Reporting into a global marketing leader, you will play a critical role in delivering measurable growth across student recruitment, partner engagement, and institutional visibility

Key Responsibilities

North America Marketing Leadership

  • Own the regional marketing strategy, annual planning, budget management, and performance outcomes.
  • Translate market insight into clear, actionable initiatives aligned to commercial goals.
  • Act as the senior marketing voice for North America in cross-functional leadership forums.



End-to-End Campaign Delivery

  • Lead the development, execution, and optimization of integrated campaigns across paid media, CRM, content, social, events, and partnerships.
  • Continuously improve the student journey to drive engagement, conversion, and yield.
  • Champion experimentation and rapid testing to accelerate performance improvements.



Partner & Agent Marketing

  • Design and deliver a compelling regional partner/agent marketing strategy.
  • Create toolkits, playbooks, and campaigns that strengthen engagement and market presence.
  • Work closely with recruitment stakeholders to align messaging and priorities.



Product & Go-To-Market Marketing

  • Oversee regional product marketing, including value propositions, proof points, and launch strategies.
  • Lead go-to-market activity for new programs, partnerships, and offerings.
  • Embed customer insight, data, and competitive analysis into all messaging.



Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional marketing team.
  • Encourage growth in analytics, agile delivery, and GenAI-enabled marketing workflows.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and innovation.



Brand & Localization

  • Balance global brand consistency with effective regional localization.
  • Oversee content creation tailored to international audiences, with a strong focus on outcomes and storytelling.



Performance & Commercial Alignment

  • Own reporting across ROI, funnel performance, lead quality, and conversion metrics.
  • Use insight to recommend strategic and tactical changes that support revenue and enrollment targets.
  • Align marketing activity closely with regional commercial forecasts.



Required Experience

  • Proven experience leading regional or multi-market marketing strategy and execution.
  • Strong background delivering end-to-end campaigns across digital, CRM, and offline channels.
  • Highly analytical, with experience using data, experimentation, and dashboards to drive decisions.
  • Experience within higher education, international education, or a comparable complex B2C/B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated people leadership and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong storytelling and value proposition development capability.


Desirable

  • Experience with partner, agent, or B2B marketing models.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and GenAI-enabled content workflows.
  • Comfortable operating in evolving, matrixed organizations.
