Technical Design Engineer – Civil & Infrastructure (Junior and Senior Position)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview
We are seeking Junior and Senior Technical Design Engineers to help design and develop civil engineering and infrastructure product solutions. The role combines engineering design input, BIM modelling, technical drawings, and accurate take-offs using Revit and AutoCAD. You will work closely with engineering, commercial, and project teams on both UAE-based and international projects, from tender and pre-sales stage through to post-sales support and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Development
- Assist in the design and development of civil and infrastructure product solutions
- Develop practical, compliant, and cost-effective solutions for international projects
- Translate engineering concepts and specifications into buildable design solutions
- Support development of standard and bespoke product details
- Contribute to value engineering and alternative solution proposals
Technical Design & BIM
- Produce 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
- Develop and maintain BIM models in line with project and client requirements
- Prepare GA drawings, sections, details, and schedules
- Coordinate models and drawings with internal teams and external consultants
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, BIM standards, and relevant codes
Take-Offs & Quantification
- Carry out accurate material take-offs from AutoCAD drawings and Revit/BIM models
- Prepare BOQs, quantity schedules, and material lists
- Deliver time-critical turnaround of BOQs and take-offs to support tender deadlines
- Identify inconsistencies between drawings, models, and specifications
Pre-Sales & Post-Sales Technical Support
- Support pre-sales activities with technical input, drawings, and quantity information
- Respond to pre-sales technical design queries from clients and commercial teams
- Provide post-sales technical design support during project delivery
- Assist with resolving technical issues and design clarifications
Junior Position – Requirements
- Degree, HND, or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 0–3 years experience in a technical design or engineering support role
- Strong AutoCAD and Revit skills
- Basic understanding of take-offs and BOQs
- Ability to work to deadlines and support time-critical deliverables
- Strong written and spoken English
Senior Position – Requirements
- Degree, HND, or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years experience in civil/infrastructure product design or technical engineering
- Advanced AutoCAD and Revit capability
- Proven experience delivering accurate, time-critical BOQs and take-offs
- Experience supporting pre-sales and post-sales technical design queries
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and review technical output
- Strong written and spoken English
Work Arrangement
