FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support end-to-end HR operations in a remote work environment. This role provides centralized HR support across multiple teams and functions, ensuring consistent execution of HR processes, compliance with Colombian labor laws, and a positive employee experience. The HR Generalist will serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers, with direct responsibility for recruitment coordination and onboarding execution, alongside core HR generalist duties.
PRIMARY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage and support end-to-end recruitment activities for assigned roles, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, and offer documentation.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, timelines, and hiring needs.
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements and execute remote onboarding activities in compliance with Colombian labor regulations.
- Ensure timely completion of new hire documentation, system access requests, and orientation activities.
Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations
- Manage HR processes across onboarding, probation tracking, internal mobility, employee changes, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and personnel files within HRIS systems.
- Support performance management cycles and employee documentation processes.
- Employee Relations & HR Advisory
- Act as the first point of contact for employee and manager inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, payroll coordination, and HR processes.
- Support employee relations cases by preparing documentation, tracking actions, and escalating complex cases as needed.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and internal regulations.
Compliance & Local Labor Law
- Ensure HR activities comply with Colombian labor laws, social security contributions (EPS, AFP, ARL), and statutory benefits.
- Support contract renewals, terminations, and required labor documentation in accordance with local regulations.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Prepare HR reports, trackers, and basic workforce analytics.
- Deliver HR services within agreed timelines and service standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment, onboarding, and HR operational processes in a remote environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience in an HR Generalist role with hands-on responsibility for recruitment and onboarding.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Labor Law Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of Colombian labor legislation and compliance requirements.
- Recruitment Exposure: Experience coordinating hiring processes across Technical and Non-Technical roles.
- Systems: Experience with HRIS, ATS, and HR documentation systems.
- Remote Readiness: Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; Spanish required, English proficiency preferred.
- Discretion & Accuracy: High attention to detail and professionalism in handling confidential information.
