Job Description


  • Job Title: Remote Data Scientist (Part-Time Contract)
  • Employment Type: Remote, part-time independent contractor (30-40 hrs/week)
  • Location: Remote within United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand. You must be legally authorised to work in the country where you are based.
  • Compensation: USD 40-65 per hour based on location, experience, responsibilities, and performance.


About the Role

We are hiring on behalf of a leading global AI player. Analyze datasets, build ML models, design experiments, and deliver actionable insights to productionize AI solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze datasets to uncover trends and guide modeling direction.
  • Build predictive models across tabular, time-series, NLP, multimodal data.
  • Design validation strategies, experiments, analytical workflows.
  • Develop automated feature pipelines and reproducible environments.
  • Perform EDA, hypothesis testing, model investigations.
  • Translate findings into recommendations for cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with ML engineers to productionize models.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong Python expertise (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn preferred).
  • Experience with end-to-end ML modeling and statistics.
  • Familiarity with SQL, dashboards, experiment tracking.
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills.
  • Training provided; competition experience or AI lab background helpful.


Bonus Skills

  • Kaggle/top competition experience.
  • LLMs, multimodal models, big data tools (Spark, Snowflake).
  • Bayesian/probabilistic modeling.
