About The Role
As a Machine Learning Engineer at Voxel51, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing our platform's capabilities in dataset curation, model analysis, and integrations throughout the entire machine learning lifecycle. Your role involves developing powerful, extensible methods accessible via APIs and no-code workflows, addressing unique challenges associated with unstructured data such as images and videos. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a thriving open source community while ensuring enterprise-grade quality for our commercial products. Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing machine learning products and software systems
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Expertise with machine learning and scientific computing libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and NumPy
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases including MongoDB, DocumentDB, and Elasticsearch
- Experience maintaining or contributing to open source projects, or a strong passion to start one
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, collaborative environment using tools like GitHub and Slack
- Passion for elegant and efficient software engineering

- Push the boundaries of open-source data-centric AI by developing innovative capabilities for working with unstructured datasets
- Scale data-centric AI approaches to handle billions of samples across continually learning models
- Collaborate with UX designers and core software engineers to bring state-of-the-art AI features into our platform
- Contribute to discussions shaping the company's technical strategy and software development roadmap
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable AI tools and systems for managing unstructured data
- Engage with the open source community to share knowledge, improve projects, and foster collaboration
- Ensure that enterprise-grade standards are met in all software deliverables
