About the Opportunity:

The Senior Principal UI/UX Designer will lead the visual, user interface, and user-experience design for a leading music app, ensuring the product remains top-tier for discerning music lovers. The role involves collaboration with product and engineering teams to maintain and enhance user experience and visual style across desktop, mobile, and web platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Lead conceptualization of user experience and visual design across multiple platforms.
• Take end-to-end ownership of business-critical projects from concept to completion.
• Communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
• Inspire and lead a team of professionals to deliver high-quality work.
• Make quick, thoughtful decisions aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate with product leads, marketing, and engineering to launch new features.
• Seek feedback and engage in constructive debates on design and user experience.
• Proactively resolve emerging issues.
• Perform hands-on work as needed to support projects.
• Encourage open communication to enhance productivity.
• Understand and communicate technical limitations to engineers.
• Work within and expand the existing design language with a strong creative sense.
• Address user pain points with innovative, best-in-class user experience solutions.
• Stay current with UI and UX principles and product design trends.
• Ensure pixel-perfect detail and quality in deliverables.
• Deliver implementation-ready graphical specifications scalable across devices and languages.
• Create early-stage visual concepts and resolve design inconsistencies.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, computer science, user experience, human-computer interaction, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of UI/UX design experience, including recent leadership and mentoring roles.
• Experience maintaining and expanding a cross-platform design system.
• Proficiency in UI/UX design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and XD.
• Familiarity with Agile software delivery methodologies and Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to solve complex UI problems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment both independently and as a senior team member.
