Ebru Studios is a Canadian game studios working on its debut title, Let There Be Istanbul, to be launched on December 2026!


Time Commitment

Either Full-Time or Part-Time, depending on our discussions. This role is fully remote.


Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a 2D Cinematic Artist who will be responsible for creating our game's cutscenes. We are open to different visual styles depending on your expertise—whether that's comic-book style parallax, stop-motion, or cinematic illustrations. Essentially, if you can tell a compelling visual story and want to own the 'look' of our game's cinematics, we want to see your work!


Our Art Lead will assist you in storyboarding, and additional duties include integrating 2D animations into a production pipeline, refining designs based on feedback, and maintaining consistent visual storytelling throughout projects.


Qualifications

  • Strong skills in 2D animation, digital illustration, and visual storytelling
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as After Effects, Photoshop, and Toon Boom or equivalent tools
  • Experience with storyboarding, compositing, and layout design
  • Understanding of cinematic language, camera angles, and pacing
  • Team collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with various departments
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet project deadlines
  • Previous experience in the entertainment or gaming industry is a plus
  • Relevant education in Animation, Fine Arts, Design, or equivalent practical experience
