Job Description
I’m looking for a Power BI contractor/freelancer to support me on a range of client projects on an outside IR35 basis. This role suits someone who takes pride in producing accurate, well designed and client friendly Power BI reports.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and enhancing Power BI reports
- Writing and maintaining DAX measures with attention to accuracy and performance
- Working within existing data models and improving them where needed
- Connecting to data sources such as SharePoint, GCP, Dataverse
- Refining visuals, layouts, and interactions to ensure reports are clear, intuitive, and visually consistent
- Reviewing outputs for accuracy, consistency, and usability before delivery
- Following established modelling, naming, and design standards
What I'm looking for:
- Solid working knowledge of DAX and data modelling
- Strong attention to detail - you spot errors, inconsistencies and formatting issues
- An eye for design and UX — you care about spacing, alignment, colour use, and readability
- Comfortable picking up existing reports and making them better
- Reliable, responsive, and able to manage your own workload
- Experience working on a contract or freelance basis
- Power BI Service experience (apps, refreshes, permissions, RLS)
- Some exposure to Power Apps
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365/Dataverse
- Outside IR35
- Flexible workload (ideal alongside other contracts or freelance work)
