About The Role
We are seeking qualified contractors to fulfill the role of a Contact Center Customer Service Agent, who will be responsible for delivering exceptional support to callers through call center operations. This role requires a blend of empathy, attention to detail, and efficient multitasking to ensure a positive customer experience throughout the day. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and the ability to follow established processes while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity is open to individuals located in the United States (USA).
Contractors will be engaged and paid by a third-party payroll supplier, BCforward, which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Answer incoming phone calls, chats, and emails regarding SNAP and Child Support Benefits
- Provide outstanding customer service with empathy and kindness
- Research and review customer inquiries using multiple systems
- Relay research findings and outcomes to customers
- Identify and escalate issues as appropriate
- Document call information and encounters in call logs
- Transition quickly between tasks
- Maintain a professional demeanor
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Consistent delivery of positive customer experiences
- Accurate documentation of customer interactions
- Timely escalation of risks and trends to management
- Effective use of scripts and call flows
- Reliable research and resolution of customer inquiries
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Internet and email (Outlook)
- Multiple research systems as required by the role
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience
- Minimum 1 year call center environment experience
- Health & Public Services experience (six months+)
- State Medical Assistance (six months+)
- SNAP, TANIF, LiHeap experience (six months+)
- Child Support Enforcement, or Early Childhood Education and care services (six months+)
- Proficiency with computers and data entry
- Reliable internet access for remote work
- Quiet and private remote work location
- Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Hours of Operations / Work Schedule
- Core Hours of Operation: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM CT
- Training: 1 week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CT
- Must be able to work any assigned shift
- 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM CT
- 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM CT
- 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM CT

Compliance Notes
This is a contractor role administered through a third-party payroll supplier. The supplier will determine compensation, benefits, and applicable employment policies. The contractor will not be eligible for employee benefits from Accenture.
The supplier will ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws including ADA, FMLA, and local ordinances.
Contractors must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for work authorization in the United States.

Compensation for contractor roles supporting Accenture is determined by the contractor’s employer BCforward, and varies depending on factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.
