About Tellory
Tellory is a discovery platform bringing clarity to the fragmented world of aging well, from plastic surgery, skincare and longevity to hormones, sexual health, mental wellness, and more.
Built in New York City by an experienced software development team, Tellory blends the editorial sophistication of a luxury magazine with the functionality of a digital platform, redefining how women share knowledge and navigate aging together.
Tellory’s mission is to tell the truth about what it takes for women to navigate aging, making the conversation fun, transparent, gossipy and communal.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to own Tellory’s Instagram presence. This is a contract/freelance role, fully remote, with a focus on consistent posting, thoughtful community engagement, and culturally relevant participation beyond our core content pillars.
This role is ideal for someone who understands how to build trust, conversation, and relevance on Instagram — especially for women 35+ — and who can balance brand voice with real-time trends.
Responsibilities
- Create and publish 5–7 Instagram posts per week (mix of feed, Reels, and Stories as appropriate)
- Design posts using existing Figma templates and brand guidelines
- Build and maintain a weekly content calendar aligned with Tellory’s content pillars and timely cultural moments
- Write compelling captions that spark conversation, curiosity, and saves
- Manage community engagement: responding to comments and DMs, fostering discussion, and maintaining a thoughtful brand presence
- Engage with relevant trending topics, conversations, and accounts beyond Tellory’s core themes when appropriate
- Monitor performance and iterate based on what resonates with the audience
Requirements
- Proven experience managing and growing Instagram accounts for consumer brands, ideally in beauty or tech
- Strong understanding of Instagram trends, formats, and best practices
- Comfortable designing social content in Figma
- Excellent copywriting skills with a clear, confident, human tone
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage weekly output
- Interest in or familiarity with beauty, wellness, longevity, or women-focused platforms is a plus
- Desire to create a feed that appears organic and not overly produced or like a series of ads
Role Details
- Contract / Freelance
- Fully remote
- Instagram-only focus (for now)
- Weekly posting and engagement cadence with flexibility on hours
If you’re Instagram-native, culturally plugged in, and excited about building a meaningful brand for modern women, we’d love to hear from you.
