Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Contract – W2)
Location: Salt Lake City, UT or Westlake, TX
Work Mode: Hybrid – Onsite every other week (5 days per week)
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible)
Pay Rate: Up to $60/hr (W2)
Job Overview
We are hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer on behalf of our client to support enterprise-scale initiatives focused on automation, digitization, and quality assurance of high-volume production systems. This role requires strong hands-on experience in manual and automated testing, API validation, and Agile delivery environments.
The ideal candidate will partner closely with engineering and product teams to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance across distributed and cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute comprehensive test scenarios
- Define and implement automation strategies within Agile teams
- Perform REST API testing for backend and integration services
- Collaborate with engineering and product stakeholders to align test efforts with release goals
- Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
- Support CI/CD pipelines and ensure quality across releases
Required Skills & Experience
- 7–10 years of hands-on Software Quality Assurance experience
- Strong experience with REST API testing tools (Bruno preferred; Postman or Insomnia acceptable)
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Gherkin and/or Cucumber
- Exposure to AWS and cloud-based application environments
- Basic to intermediate Java knowledge from a testing perspective
- Experience testing large-scale, distributed, or API-driven systems
- Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
Interview Process
- 2 interview rounds:
- Technical interview with the engineering team
- Interview with Manager and Squad Lead
- Pre-interview technical assessment required before client submission

- US Citizens or Green Card holders only
- Must be comfortable with hybrid onsite work and relocation if not local
- Background check, credit check, and drug screening required
