Senior Unity / C# Engineer (Tooling & Platforms) – Contract

We’re supporting a well-funded technology company building production-grade Unity tooling and internal platforms used by game creators and development teams.

This role is for engineers who enjoy building systems, tools, and frameworks, not just shipping gameplay features. If you care about clean architecture, strong C# code, and creating tools other developers rely on, this will be a great fit.

What you’ll be working on

  • Designing and building Unity Editor tools and extensions
  • Developing reusable frameworks and runtime systems
  • Writing high-quality, maintainable C# for complex systems
  • Improving developer workflows, pipelines, and internal tooling
  • Making architectural decisions that shape a long-term platform

What we’re looking for

  • Senior-level experience with Unity and C#
  • Strong background in editor scripting, tooling, or internal platforms
  • Solid software architecture and system design skills
  • Comfortable owning problems end to end
  • Someone who thinks in systems, not just features
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical trade-offs

Nice to have

  • Experience building tools for other developers
  • Exposure to regulated or data-driven environments
  • Graphics, UI, or procedural systems experience
  • Previous contract or startup experience
