Powder Days Marketing is seeking a proactive and self-motivated Social Media Manager to create engaging short-form video content and manage our social media presence across multiple platforms. This role focuses on content creation, copywriting, and task management with minimal day-to-day supervision. The ideal candidate will have strong visual design intuition, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting aggressive productivity expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Create and publish engaging social media posts and short-form video content across company platforms
- Produce high-quality video content using CapCut or similar video editing software
- Design visually appealing carousel posts and graphics using Canva
- Write compelling copy for social media content, utilizing AI tools (ChatGPT) effectively to generate and iterate on messaging
- Manage content calendar and track deadlines independently using personal task management systems
- Maintain and update blog posts on WordPress websites
- Monitor and analyze social media analytics and performance metrics
- Support additional marketing tasks as assigned, including basic Google Ads management and website analytics
- Work proactively to identify content needs and complete projects with minimal micromanagement
Requirements :
- Proficiency in short-form video content creation and CapCut (or equivalent video editing software)
- Hands-on experience with Canva for graphic design and carousel post creation
- Strong copywriting ability with cultural awareness and marketing intuition
- Proven project/task management and self-management skills
- Experience with social media management and content strategy
- Ability to work independently with Slack-based communication and direction
- High productivity and proactive approach to completing tasks
- WordPress experience for blog post management
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools
- Understanding of visual design principles and ability to recognize quality vs. poor design
