Position Overview

Stroud Inc. is a digital marketing agency specializing in ecommerce solutions for clients across multiple industries. We are seeking a Data Analytics Specialist to join our analytics team. In this role, you will be the technical backbone, ensuring that all client data is tracked accurately, conversions are properly recorded, and marketing teams have the insights they need to optimize campaign performance across paid media channels.

You will work closely with our web development team, paid media strategists, email marketers, and client teams to troubleshoot tracking issues, build dashboards, and transform raw data into actionable insights.


Key Responsibilities

  • Tracking & Implementation: Set up, configure, and troubleshoot Google Tag Manager (GTM), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and pixel tracking across client websites and Shopify stores
  • Data Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve discrepancies between data sources (Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok, Shopify, etc.); validate data integrity across platforms
  • Analytics & Reporting: Create dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs), conversion rates, ROI, and other metrics relevant to paid media performance
  • Client Support: Partner with paid media teams and client account managers to investigate performance drops, anomalies, and tracking issues; communicate technical findings in clear, non-technical language
  • Optimization: Analyze user behavior, funnel performance, and conversion data to recommend improvements to tracking implementation and measurement strategies
  • Collaboration: Participate in team meetings, client calls, and forum discussions; actively contribute to problem-solving and strategy discussions
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with GA4 updates, marketing analytics best practices, and ecommerce tracking methodologies; work with the analytics lead on skill development


Requirements/Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in data analytics, marketing analytics, or performance analysis
  • Expert-level proficiency with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms
  • Experience working with paid advertising platforms, including Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and TikTok Ads Manager
  • Strong understanding of conversion tracking, pixel implementation, and event-based analytics
  • Knowledge of multi-touch attribution models and cross-channel performance measurement
  • Solid understanding of marketing KPIs and ecommerce metrics such as CAC, LTV, ROAS, and conversion rates
  • Technical proficiency with SQL, Python, or similar data tools (preferred)
  • Experience using BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, or Tableau
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders and clients
  • Strong attention to detail with a meticulous approach to data validation and troubleshooting
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset; curious, analytical, and comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Ability to work during MST (Mountain Standard Time) business hours, with some flexibility on timezone
  • Fluent English, with occasional client-facing communication responsibilities


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HubSpot or other CRM platforms
  • Familiarity with ecommerce conversion funnel optimization
  • Client-facing experience with US-based companies
  • Background in digital marketing or agency environment
  • Experience with custom event tracking and data layer implementation
