Launched in 2020, MedTech World began as a bold initiative to position Malta as a bridge connecting startups, investors, service providers, and thought leaders in the Medical and HealthTech space. Fast-forward five years, and we've evolved into a global platform - with operations now spanning Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.


Now, we’re entering an exciting new chapter: launching 4 summits, across 4 continents, in 4 quarters. To support this global expansion, we’re looking for a driven partner to help us grow our business, build strategic relationships, and bring new opportunities to life.

As our Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving MedTech World’s global expansion—leading the charge across 4 summits, 4 continents, and 4 quarters. You’ll identify new growth opportunities, build relationships with sponsors, partners, and governments, and help curate a powerful ecosystem around each event.


Working closely with our CEO, you'll be at the frontlines of strategic growth, gaining unparalleled access to the world of MedTech, HealthTech, and investment.


What You'll Do


  • Develop and implement business development strategies that expand MedTech World’s global customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the MedTech and HealthTech sectors, including startups, investors, service providers, and hospitals.
  • Lead the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, ensuring successful conversion of leads and inquiries.
  • Create tailored sales presentations, proposals, and solutions that address client needs and maximize opportunities for collaboration.
  • Understand client requirements and offer relevant solutions that enhance their experience at MedTech World events.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring a seamless experience for customers and clients.
  • Present regular reports on sales performance, revenue projections, and market trends to MedTech’s core team.
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and conferences to network and continue to establish MedTech World’s presence globally.
  • Support clients throughout their journey, ensuring their needs are met before, during, and after events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless execution of projects and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify emerging trends, technologies, and market shifts, providing valuable insights to internal teams.


What You'll need to Bring


  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or Account Executive in a similar industry, or a degree in a relevant field with an understanding of medical devices, coupled with a flair for business development and sales, would be highly appreciated.
  • Experience in the MedTech, HealthTech, or Digital Healthcare sectors is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute business strategies.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture client relationships.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM software and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and business acumen.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to travel internationally for exhibitions, conferences, and networking events.
  • A BSc degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
