About The Role
The HR Business Partner role at Sahara AI is a strategic and operational position within the People & Culture team, designed to support the company's remote-first, global workforce. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and leadership, helping to shape organizational development, employee relations, and talent growth initiatives. This role requires a blend of strategic HR leadership and hands-on operational management to align human resources practices with business objectives. The HRBP will play a vital role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing organizational culture, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting the company’s vision of democratizing AI through effective people management.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or as an HR Business Partner, preferably within high-growth, remote‑first, or global tech environments
- 2-3 years of experience managing a team in HR or People Operations
- Proficiency in both Mandarin and English, written and spoken
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
- Deep understanding of remote‑first working practices and global HR compliance requirements
- Proven track record of developing and scaling HR programs and teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Highly preferred: based in Pacific Time zone
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees, managers, and leadership by providing guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management issues
- Partner with leadership to forecast staffing needs, identify growth opportunities, and oversee the annual performance review cycle
- Design and optimize organizational structures, roles, and responsibilities to support business growth and change management initiatives
- Collaborate with the Global Recruitment team to develop competitive compensation and benefits packages aimed at attracting and retaining top talent
- Champion initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness, emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Manage HRIS systems and guide the Operations team in maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring legal compliance
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with Sahara AI’s core values and strategic goals
- Foster collaboration and effective communication among a globally distributed remote workforce to build a cohesive and motivated team
