Graphic Designer (Apparel / Retail) – Remote (U.S.-based)
Employment Type: Annual Contract (Preferred)
Work Location: Remote (Home-based, U.S.)
Hourly Rate: USD 30–50+/hour, based on experience & scope. (Expected Annual Contract Fee: USD 60,000 - USD 100,000+)
Contract Structure
This role is offered as an annual contract position, our preferred engagement model.
The contract will begin with a 3-month paid trial period to ensure mutual alignment on:

Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer who can support end-to-end artwork development and represent design direction in customer-facing discussions when needed.
This is a fully remote position, working closely with U.S.-based retail partners and global production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Execution: Design apparel graphics, placements, and artwork for private label programs.
- Trend Translation: Interpret seasonal trends into commercial, retailer-ready graphic concepts.
- Brand Alignment: Develop artwork that strictly adheres to specific retailer brand guidelines and DNA.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Planning, and Product Development teams in a remote environment.
- Prepare production-ready files (print specs, color separation, revisions)
- Participate in buyer meetings and presentations as a vendor-side design representative, when required
- Support design explanations, revisions, and alignment during retailer discussions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in apparel or retail
- Strong portfolio demonstrating private label / mass retail graphics
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
- Solid understanding of: Apparel print techniques (screen print, heat transfer, embroidery, etc.)
- Cost-conscious design and production constraints
- Comfortable communicating design intent with non-design stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications (Strong Plus)
- Direct experience working with major U.S. retailers’ PB brands, such as: Target / Walmart/ Macy’s or any casual brand…
- Experience on the vendor side operations (or strong understanding of vendor–buyer dynamics)
- Ability to join and contribute to buyer meetings, virtual or in-person
- Experience collaborating across time zones with overseas production teams
