Job Title: Power BI Developer
Contract: 6-Months

Job Summary
We are seeking a Power BI Developer with 3–5 years of experience to support analytics and reporting initiatives for a hospital or healthcare provider organization. This role focuses on delivering high-quality dashboards, reports, and data models that support clinical, operational, financial, and supply chain decision-making.
The ideal candidate has experience working with healthcare data in a provider setting, understands hospital workflows, and can translate business requirements into actionable visual insights using Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support hospital operations, finance, supply chain, and clinical leadership.
- Translate business and operational requirements into effective data visualizations and self-service reporting solutions.
- Ensure dashboards are intuitive, performant, and aligned with healthcare reporting standards.
- Develop and maintain semantic models using Power BI datasets.
- Create and optimize DAX measures and calculations.
- Use Power Query to extract, transform, and load data from multiple healthcare data sources.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across reports.
- Work with healthcare provider data sources such as EHR systems, financial systems, supply chain platforms, and operational databases.
- Support reporting related to patient volume, utilization, quality metrics, finance, staffing, and supply chain performance.
- Understand and apply healthcare terminology and metrics in reporting solutions.
- Partner with clinical, operational, finance, supply chain, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and validate reporting outputs.
- Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and troubleshooting for Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Assist with user training and adoption of Power BI self-service analytics.
- Follow data governance, security, and privacy standards, including HIPAA considerations.
- Optimize report performance and apply Power BI best practices for enterprise deployments.
- Support deployment processes, workspace management, and role-based security.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience developing solutions using Power BI.
- Strong experience with DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Experience working with healthcare provider or hospital data.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable dashboards.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance in healthcare environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a hospital system or large healthcare provider organization.
- Familiarity with EHR systems, financial systems, or supply chain platforms used in healthcare.
- Experience with Azure data services such as Azure SQL, Synapse, or Data Factory.
- Experience supporting enterprise BI environments and multiple stakeholder groups.
