Company Overview

CodingIT is a fast-growing software development company building scalable, high-quality digital solutions for clients in the U.S. market. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a talented QA Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of our projects.

Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Specialist to join one of our client teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deeply understanding how a product works, validating it from the user’s perspective, and complementing that work with solid automated test coverage.

You will spend roughly half of your time executing and designing manual test scenarios and half building and maintaining automated tests, primarily for web applications and APIs. You’ll play a key role in defining QA processes, advising the Tech Lead on testing strategies, and continuously raising the overall quality bar of the product.

This position requires autonomy, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright or similar frameworks, focusing on high-value and regression-critical scenarios.
  • Actively participate in defining the overall QA strategy, balancing manual and automated testing approaches.
  • Perform API testing using Postman and validate data integrity through SQL queries.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements, edge cases, and expected behaviors.
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and follow up on bugs and inconsistencies through to resolution.
  • Provide continuous feedback on usability, reliability, and quality risks from a QA perspective.
  • Contribute to improving QA processes, documentation, and tooling over time.
  • Ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle, not just at the end.

Qualifications

✅ Must-Have

  • Proven experience in Manual and Automation QA, with hands-on use of Playwright, Selenium, or similar testing frameworks.
  • Strong experience in manual testing of web applications, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
  • Experience creating, executing, and maintaining automated test cases, especially for regression and integration scenarios.
  • Knowledge of SQL; ability to write queries to validate test scenarios and data integrity.
  • Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, including collections, assertions, and response validation.
  • Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken), required for daily communication with U.S.-based clients and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
  • Close attention to detail, autonomy, and a strong commitment to software quality.

⭐ Nice-to-Have

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript, especially for understanding and maintaining automated tests.
  • Familiarity with Playwright test structure and best practices beyond basic usage.
  • Hands-on experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Experience working with design tools such as Figma to validate UI details and collaborate with designers.
  • Exposure to performance, accessibility, or security testing.
  • Previous experience working with U.S.-based clients or distributed international teams.
