About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic, early-stage, distributed team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and scaling our backend systems, building new features, and creating innovative products that enhance our platform’s capabilities. You will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that directly influence our growth and user experience. As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to the design of scalable systems, and own key engineering objectives. Your work will help millions of users worldwide manage their crypto assets more effectively and confidently.
This position offers a unique environment characterized by high growth, agility, and a focus on impactful engineering solutions. You will be involved in building data ingestion platforms, developing trade insights tools, and integrating country-specific tax regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy. Our engineering process emphasizes code reviews, continuous integration, automated deployments, and high test coverage, ensuring quality and reliability in every release.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong fundamentals in computer science, including algorithms, data structures, system design, and distributed systems
- Proficiency in writing high-quality, secure, and maintainable code
- Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services
- Experience evolving startup architecture to support growth into mid-size company levels
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
- Interest in financial products and cryptocurrency
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and collaborate during core hours (9 AM to 12 PM PT)
- Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and productivity
- Experience with web technologies including HTML, Typescript, React, and React Native is a plus
- Knowledge of backend technologies such as Python, Flask, GraphQL, Postgres, and infrastructure tools like Docker, Terraform, and Datadog is desirable
- Develop new features, products, integrations, and backend services to enhance platform capabilities
- Design scalable and efficient systems capable of supporting millions of users
- Take ownership of key product and engineering objectives, ensuring timely delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers
- Contribute to the evolution of our architecture to support continuous growth
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and deployment processes to maintain high-quality standards
- Implement security best practices and ensure the robustness of our systems
- Stay updated with industry trends and continuously improve technical skills and knowledge
- Competitive starting salary ranging from $146,000 to $175,000, commensurate with experience and skills
