The Role 🎯

The Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog in order to maximize the value delivered to clients and users. As part of the Product & Engineering department, the Product Owner works in close collaboration with clients, as well as Design, Development, and QA teams, to successfully deliver high-quality digital and website projects.


To be more specific your core responsibilities will include:

1. Requirements gathering & analysis

  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize business and user needs
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand expectations
  • Translate needs into clear and actionable functional requirements

2. Product backlog ownership

  • Define, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog in line with the product roadmap and company strategy
  • Ensure the backlog is clear, structured, and ready for the teams
  • Make trade-offs and arbitrate priorities based on value, constraints, and delivery timelines

3. User stories & acceptance criteria

  • Write clear and well-structured user stories
  • Define detailed acceptance criteria
  • Ensure shared understanding across Development, Design, and QA teams

4. Cross-functional collaboration

  • Collaborate daily with Design, Development, and QA teams
  • Participate in design and delivery discussions
  • Support testing and functional validation of delivered features

5. Agile delivery & ceremonies

  • Work within an Agile environment (Scrum / Kanban)
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies:
  • Sprint planning
  • Backlog refinement
  • Daily stand-ups
  • Sprint reviews
  • Retrospectives
  • Track progress and communicate clearly on priorities and delivery status

6. Stakeholder communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and business stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment between expectations and delivered value
  • Communicate progress, priorities, and trade-offs effectively

7. Continuous improvement

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of product and Agile practices
  • Help improve processes, tools, and ways of working


The Ideal Profile 💎

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Functional Project Manager in an Agile / Scrum environment
  • Experience working on digital products or website projects

Skills

  • Strong ability to translate business needs into concrete solutions
  • Excellent knowledge of user stories, backlog management, and prioritization
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello
  • Good understanding of technical environments (web, mobile, APIs)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Well-organized, structured, and autonomous
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to collaborate, influence, and make decisions
  • Client-focused and value-driven mindset

Nice to have

  • PSPO, CSPO, or equivalent certification
  • Experience in a multi-client or agency environment
  • UX / Design sensitivity
