Director of Talent Acquisition
Location: Fully Remote (CONUS)
Travel: Limited, as needed

About the Role
Sabel Systems is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead, scale, and mature our recruiting function during a period of continued growth. This role will be responsible for setting Talent Acquisition strategy while remaining actively engaged in execution—recruiting, building processes, developing the team, and influencing how the company scales.
This is a hands-on, player-coach leadership role for someone who has built or scaled Talent Acquisition functions in a government contracting environment and is comfortable operating in both strategic and executional modes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the end-to-end Talent Acquisition function across corporate, technical, and program hiring
- Actively recruit for critical and complex roles while supervising and developing the TA team
- Design and execute scalable recruiting strategies aligned to company growth, program needs, and workforce planning
- Partner closely with executive leadership, HR, and business development to anticipate hiring demand and shape hiring strategy
- Build, refine, and document TA processes, workflows, and standards as the organization scales
- Oversee recruiting metrics and reporting (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, pipeline health, compliance)
- Ensure recruiting activities align with federal hiring regulations, including OFCCP and EEO compliance
- Strengthen employer branding, outreach strategies, and long-term talent pipeline development
- Provide market insight and guidance on compensation alignment and competitive hiring trends
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including hands-on recruiting and leadership of recruiting teams
- Demonstrated experience leading Talent Acquisition in a government contracting or highly regulated federal environment
- Experience supporting proposal-driven, program-based, or growth-stage hiring
- Strong understanding of federal hiring regulations, including OFCCP and EEO compliance
- Proven ability to build, evolve, or formalize TA processes in a scaling organization
- Experience partnering with executive leadership to influence hiring strategy and workforce planning
- Comfort operating as a player-coach in an evolving environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience scaling Talent Acquisition functions during periods of contract growth or new awards
- Experience supporting technical, engineering, or cleared programs
- Prior experience leading TA in a distributed or fully remote organization
- Familiarity with workforce planning tied to delivery timelines and program execution
