About The Role

We’re seeking a driven and experienced Lead Software Engineer, Order Management, to join our remote team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and maintainable software solutions. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, establishing best practices, and mentoring our talented engineers within an agile environment. Your expertise will directly influence the success of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of new features and enhancements that improve our order management systems.

This individual contributor role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical skills, a passion for innovation, and the ability to lead by example. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of microservices using .NET technologies hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Kafka, and BigQuery. Your role involves actively participating in team ceremonies, driving continuous process improvements, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience
  • Strong experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
  • Proven leadership experience delivering complex software solutions in an agile environment
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, or Go
  • Hands-on experience with testing frameworks and methodologies
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and system scalability
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, setting a clear technical vision aligned with product goals
  • Design, develop, and deploy microservices using .NET technologies on GCP, incorporating TDD and CI/CD best practices
  • Participate actively in team ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of features
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define requirements, author user stories, and ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their professional growth and promoting a collaborative team environment
  • Address complex technical challenges with innovative solutions and troubleshoot production issues with a focus on root cause analysis
  • Contribute to system architecture discussions, ensuring scalability, robustness, and security of solutions
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for developed features and solutions to enhance team efficiency
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure successful project delivery
