As an IT Sourcing Manager, you will support the development and execution of centralized sourcing, procurement, and vendor management processes for IT hardware, software, and services. You’ll serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers, helping to resolve purchasing-related issues, coordinate sourcing activities, and ensure compliance with company standards. This role involves analyzing vendor pricing, tracking spend and supplier performance, and identifying cost-saving opportunities in alignment with industry best practices. Under the guidance of the Senior Manager of IT Contracts and Vendor Management, you’ll contribute to asset management, contract lifecycle oversight, and vendor relationship development to support the organization’s IT sourcing strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Sourcing & Procurement Activities: Manage sourcing processes across IT categoriesβ€”including software, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, hardware, and professional servicesβ€”through RFPs, RFIs, and direct negotiations.
  • Vendor Evaluation & Negotiation: Develop evaluation models, lead complex vendor negotiations, and analyze licensing models (on-premise, subscription, hosted, and cloud) to secure enterprise-wide agreements that maximize value.
  • Contract Management & Compliance: Support contract reviews including SLAs, SOWs, and pricing terms. Implement processes that improve adoption, ensure compliance, and reduce contractual risk across locations.
  • Strategy & Cost Optimization: Develop and execute sourcing strategies, benchmark vendor performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and influence stakeholders to implement efficiency improvements.
  • Stakeholder & Supplier Collaboration: Build strong relationships across business units, IT, finance, compliance, and legal. Collaborate with internal and external partners to align sourcing with business needs and service excellence.
  • Continuous Improvement & Best Practices: Stay current on IT procurement trends, technologies, and policy updates. Apply new knowledge to improve processes, share insights with the team, and support special projects as needed.

What We’re Seeking

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience in IT procurement, sourcing, and/or vendor management; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • Leadership: 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required.
  • Relationship Building & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and thrive in a team environment across geographies and cultures.
  • Software Licensing & Financial Acumen: Extensive experience with software licensing models (on-premise, cloud, SaaS), pricing comparisons, benchmarking, and interpreting financial data for strategic decisions.
  • Sourcing & Negotiation Expertise: Proven ability to lead high-level negotiations with suppliers, with a strong understanding of IT procurement and vendor dynamics.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in standard business applications (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, collaboration tools) and working knowledge of IT systems and services.
  • Autonomy & Strategic Thinking: Self-motivated and independent, with a history of challenging the status quo and driving innovative approaches to sourcing and procurement.
  • Organization & Communication: Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
