We are looking for a highly experienced builder who thrives in the zero-to-one phase. This is a high-intensity, high-impact role for a developer who wants to ship a functional, complex MVP in a short timeframe.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Mobile Application Developer with 5–7 years of experience to own the mobile side of our product. You will work directly with our Lead Backend Developer to connect the mobile UI to our Node.js AI backend.
Your goal is to build a cross-platform application (using Flutter) and successfully deploy it to both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
This is a fixed-term contract designed for a specialist who can come in, build the mobile application, successfully establish the applications on app stores and deliver the expectations from a mobile application developer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cross-Platform Development: Build a responsive, smooth chat interface that works flawlessly on both iOS and Android from a single codebase.
- Real-Time Integration: Connect to our REST & WebSocket APIs to handle real-time AI text streaming (typing effect).
- State Management: Handle chat history, user sessions, and local storage efficiently.
- App Store Deployment: Manage the entire submission process, including certificates, provisioning profiles, and resolving App Store review feedback.
- Polish: Ensure high-quality UI/UX (Markdown rendering, code block formatting, dark mode).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
- Tech Stack: Expert proficiency in Flutter (Dart).
- Store Experience: Proven track record of publishing apps to the App Store and Play Store (you must have apps currently live).
- API Integration: Experience handling real-time data streams (WebSockets/SSE) for chat applications.
- Autonomy: Capable of setting up the mobile architecture from scratch without supervision.
Preference: Have closely relevant work experience and able to demonstrate the experience with live portfolio products.
