Job Description
PRINCIPAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER -REAL TIME PLANNING & SURGICAL ROBOTICS
One misaligned sensor.
One timing glitch.
One integration failure.
And it’s not a test. It’s a patient in the OR. Lives hang on this procedure.
You design the systems and the architecture. You integrate hardware, software, embedded software, cameras, sensors, and AI. One mistake, and surgeons lose trust.
This is your orchestra and you are the Maestro.
The Mission
We are hiring a Principal Systems Engineer / Architect to own the integration of hardware, embedded software, sensors, cameras, computer vision, and deep learning for our surgical robotics platform.
Part of the Leadership Team, you’ll work directly with the CTO & COO in Paris minimum 3 days a week, (relocation available).
They say it can't be done - the holy grail of MSK surgery. Markerless patient registration and tracking. This is real-time, embedded vision and robotics with eyes. Leading up to one precise surgical robotic cut by the surgeon. You will be in charge of proving this can be done - because it can!
Key Deliverables

Lead through influence, gravitas, charisma, bringing lessons from other complex electromechanical devices or robotics to our system.
We are Looking for
- Minimim 7 but up to 10–15 years’ experience in systems engineering or product development.
- Proven experience developing complex electromechanical or robotic medical devices from concept to market.
- Strong background in software-driven systems, especially embedded machine vision / deep learning applications.
- Understanding of real-time embedded systems, cameras, GPUs, and related integration challenges.
- Familiarity with verification & validation, regulatory documentation, and design control processes (FDA, CE/MDR).
