Senior Brand Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for a Brand Manager to define, build, and scale ModeSens as the leading brand within a new category. This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for shaping brand strategy, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, and leading content and PR efforts that reinforce ModeSens’ positioning. You will work closely with leadership, product, marketing, content, design, and external partners to ensure ModeSens presents a clear, differentiated, and consistent brand story to the world.


Key Responsibilities


1. Brand Strategy & Category Definition

  • Refine ModeSens’ brand strategy and positioning as the category leader in a newly defined category - purchase assistant and purchase concierge.
  • Clearly articulate the category narrative, including terminology, value propositions, and competitive differentiation.
  • Translate brand strategy into actionable frameworks, guidelines, and messaging that teams can execute against.
  • Continuously evolve the brand strategy as the category matures and the product expands.


2. Brand Execution & Governance

  • Ensure consistent brand execution and compliance across all customer touchpoints, including web, app, extension, social, email, PR, partnerships, and offline materials.
  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines covering voice, tone, visual identity, and messaging.
  • Partner with internal teams to review and approve brand-critical work, ensuring alignment with strategy.
  • Act as the brand steward, identifying gaps or inconsistencies and proactively driving alignment.


3. Content Leadership

  • Lead the brand content strategy to support ModeSens’ positioning and category leadership.
  • Oversee the development of high-impact content across channels, including brand narratives, campaigns, editorial content, product storytelling, and thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with content, SEO, social, and community teams to ensure content reinforces the core brand story.
  • Define content priorities, themes, and success metrics tied to brand and business goals.


4. PR & External Communications

  • Lead PR strategy to support ModeSens’ positioning as the category-defining brand.
  • Develop clear messaging for press, media, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with PR agencies and media partners.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for earned media, founder visibility, thought leadership, and industry presence.
  • Ensure PR narratives are tightly aligned with brand strategy and content direction.


Qualifications

  • 6–10+ years of experience in brand management, brand marketing, or strategic marketing.
  • Proven experience defining or scaling a brand within a new or emerging category.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority.
  • Strong storytelling, messaging, and editorial judgment.
  • Experience working with PR agencies and managing external communications.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Experience in consumer facing startups.
