Job Description


FTS, in collaboration with a leading client in the Financial Services Industry, is seeking a talented and motivated Business Intelligence Developer to join their dynamic analytics team focused on delivering impactful reporting and data-driven insights. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using QLIK Cloud, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders. You will work closely with analysts, developers, and business partners to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making.


Key responsibilities include creating and enhancing QLIK applications, managing data models, writing SQL queries to validate and extract data, troubleshooting reporting issues, and implementing automation and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency. This role offers the opportunity to optimize reporting processes, streamline workflows, and ensure high-quality, repeatable analytics for a variety of business needs.


As part of the Analytics team, you will report to the Manager of Analytics and play a key role in providing accurate, timely, and reliable data solutions for both internal teams and client-facing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports in QLIK to support ongoing client reporting, internal performance tracking, and ad hoc analytical requests.
  • Develop and manage QLIK data models, including scripting to extract, transform, and consolidate data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Create automated, data-driven notifications and report subscriptions to keep stakeholders informed with relevant insights.
  • Incorporate interactive forms into dashboards to enable feedback collection and “what-if” scenario analysis for decision support.
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business teams to translate business needs into QLIK-specific solutions, including KPIs, measures, filters, visualizations, and drill-down capabilities.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of QLIK reports by validating data and business logic through SQL queries, reconciliations, and coordination with IT or data operations.
  • Enhance and optimize existing QLIK applications for improved performance, usability, and maintainability, including refactoring legacy content and standardizing layouts and navigation.
  • Streamline recurring reports and processes through automation, reducing manual effort and increasing the speed and reliability of reporting.
  • Provide advanced support for QLIK reporting, troubleshooting data or display issues, resolving defects, and implementing enhancements requested by internal teams or clients.
  • Document dashboards, data flows, and key business rules so team members can easily understand, maintain, and extend reporting solutions over time.
  • Contribute to reporting best practices and templates to keep analytics fresh, actionable, and visually clear for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage QLIK’s capabilities to integrate AI-driven analytics, enhancing internal and client-facing reporting with intelligent insights


Skillsets/Requirements:

  • Proven experience building QLIK applications, including scripting for data loading and transformation, creating automations, and developing visual dashboards
  • Strong understanding of Business Intelligence principles, including dimensional modeling, KPIs, dashboard design, and self-service reporting interfaces
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying, validating, and reconciling data within relational databases or data warehouses
  • Deep knowledge of data quality practices, including validation, reconciliation, and identifying the root causes of discrepancies
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with analysts, operations, IT, and client-facing teams to clarify requirements and refine reporting solutions
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, leading requirement sessions, and managing stakeholder priorities effectively
  • Innovative problem solver with a focus on automation, consistently seeking ways to streamline recurring reports and reduce manual effort


Education/Training/Experience:

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, reporting, or analytics, with hands-on experience using QLIK and SQL
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Prior experience with Pharmacy, PBM, or Healthcare data is a plus, though not required
