Salary Range: $185,000 – $225,000 USD per year, depending on experience and location
NextMatch AI (www.nextmatch.ai) is an AI-powered hiring platform that connects verified candidates directly into employers’ internal systems, reducing job board noise and manual screening.
We are growing our US product and engineering team and are hiring a Senior Web Developer for an internal role working on the core NextMatch AI platform used by job seekers and employers globally.
As a Senior Web Developer, you will help drive the architecture and implementation of our web experience, including candidate flows, employer dashboards, analytics, and internal tools.
You will stay hands-on with code while also influencing technical direction, collaborating with product and design, and mentoring other engineers in a remote-first environment.
- Design, build, and maintain modern, responsive web applications
- Lead implementation of complex features from idea to production
- Architect and develop reusable front-end components and, ideally, full-stack solutions
- Integrate with REST or GraphQL APIs and work with databases where needed
- Optimize performance, security, and reliability across the platform
- Participate in code reviews and help set coding standards and best practices
- Collaborate with product and design on specs, UX flows, and edge cases
- Mentor mid-level and junior developers and support their technical growth
- 5+ years of professional experience in web development
- At least 2 years in a senior or lead engineer role
- Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with at least one modern framework such as React, Vue or Angular
- Solid experience with at least one backend stack (e.g. Node.js, Python, PHP, Java, .NET)
- Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases, APIs, and Git
- Understanding of scalable architectures, caching, and basic DevOps practices
- Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote, distributed team
- Must be based in the United States and able to work US business hours
Nice to Have
- TypeScript and experience with frameworks like Next.js
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and CI/CD pipelines
- Background in SaaS, marketplaces, or HR tech
- Portfolio or GitHub with examples of production-level work
