Swapop, an AI-powered marketplace for Gen Z to swap, buy, and trade items, is looking for a Co-Founder / Software Project Manager with a background in software development to lead execution, coordinate engineering teams, and turn product vision into shipped features.

This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and leadership. You will not just manage tasks — you’ll help build the system, guide the team, and shape the company.

This is an equity-based founding role, with a clear path to a paid leadership position post-funding.

Your Role & Impact

Engineering Leadership & Project Management

• Own the end-to-end delivery of Swapop’s product roadmap.

• Break product ideas into clear technical tasks and milestones.

• Lead sprint planning, prioritization, and execution.

• Track progress, identify blockers, and keep the team moving forward.

• Ensure features ship on time, cleanly, and aligned with product goals.

Technical Oversight (Hands-On Background)

• Leverage your software development experience to:

• Review technical decisions and architecture.

• Validate API designs, data flows, and system logic.

• Communicate effectively with backend and Flutter developers.

• Translate product requirements into technical execution plans.

• Ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability across the stack.

Team Coordination & Collaboration

• Coordinate backend (PHP/Laravel/MySQL) and Flutter mobile developers.

• Act as the bridge between product vision and engineering reality.

• Facilitate daily check-ins, async updates, and retrospectives.

• Foster accountability, clarity, and momentum within the team.

System Thinking & Growth Readiness

• Help design processes that scale as the user base grows.

• Support preparation for AI-driven features and future integrations.

• Assist in defining lightweight workflows, documentation, and dev standards.

• Contribute to long-term technical and product strategy as a co-founder.

Requirements

• Background in software development (backend, full-stack, or mobile).

• Strong understanding of how modern applications are built and scaled.

• Experience working with or managing developers (formal or informal).

• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Comfortable leading without heavy bureaucracy in a startup environment.

• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to commit 10–15 hours per week in an early-stage startup.

Nice to Have

• Experience with marketplaces, platforms, or consumer apps.

• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum or startup-style execution.

• Previous experience as a tech lead, project manager, or founder.

• Understanding of mobile-backend systems and API-driven products.
