Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Power Apps Developer to join our team as an independent contractor. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, helping businesses digitize their processes and enhance productivity through custom low-code solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.

Responsibilities


Development & Implementation
  • Design and develop custom Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) solutions
  • Create Power Automate workflows to streamline business processes
  • Build Power BI dashboards and reports integrated with Power Apps
  • Develop custom connectors and integrate with third-party APIs
  • Implement Dataverse solutions for data modeling and management
  • Design responsive, user-friendly interfaces optimized for mobile and desktop
Client Engagement
  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations on Power Platform capabilities
  • Conduct user training and create documentation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
  • Participate in discovery calls and solution presentations
Quality & Best Practices
  • Follow Power Platform governance and security best practices
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and performant
  • Implement proper error handling and data validation
  • Document solutions architecture and development processes
  • Conduct code reviews and testing before deployment
Required Skills & Experience


Technical Requirements
  • Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform
  • Strong proficiency in Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven apps)
  • Experience with Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow)
  • Working knowledge of Dataverse (Common Data Service)
  • Understanding of Power Platform administration and governance
  • Familiarity with Power BI integration
Additional Technical Skills
  • Experience with PowerFx formula language
  • Understanding of REST APIs and custom connectors
  • Knowledge of Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, SQL)
  • Experience with SharePoint Online integration
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Understanding of responsive design principles
Desired Experience
  • Power Platform certifications (PL-100, PL-200, PL-400)
