Job Overview
We are seeking a creative, commercially savvy Industrial Designer & Product Manager with strong expertise in furniture and consumer goods design for retail markets. This role combines hands-on industrial design capability with product management ownership, requiring a deep understanding of market trends, consumer needs, and product commercialization.
The ideal candidate will lead products from concept through market launch, ensuring designs are innovative, manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with brand positioning and market demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end product design and product management lifecycle, from concept development to market launch.
- Develop innovative furniture and consumer goods products that meet market demand, user needs, and commercial objectives.
- Analyze industry trends, market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes to identify new product opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure design feasibility, production efficiency, and cost control.
- Manage product life cycles, including new product introductions, enhancements to existing products, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to support product positioning, go-to-market strategies, and product storytelling.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure materials, components, and finishes meet quality, performance, and cost standards.
- Monitor product performance post-launch, analyze sales data and customer feedback, and continuously refine product features and designs.
- Maintain accurate design documentation, specifications, and project timelines across multiple concurrent projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of professional experience in furniture design or consumer goods design, with a proven record of successful product launches.
- Strong understanding of market trends, user-centered design, and competitive positioning.
- Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software (minimum 3 years required).
- Demonstrated project management experience (minimum 2 years required), with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication, coordination, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented, innovative mindset with the ability to perform under tight deadlines.
- Experience with manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain processes is a plus.
