Description

We are looking for a Group IT Asset Manager to lead the governance, optimisation and day-to-day operation of IT Asset Management across ParentPay Group. This role ensures our hardware, software and cloud assets are effectively controlled throughout their lifecycle, delivering accurate data, regulatory compliance and cost-effective decision-making.

Reporting to the Group IT Director, you will implement ITAM strategy and ITIL-aligned processes, working closely with IT, procurement, finance and security teams to embed consistent, auditable practices across the group.

This is a remote role but will require site visits to our offices in Coventry, Chelmsford, Bristol, London and Bridgwater.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and operate end-to-end IT Asset Management across hardware, software and cloud services
  • Deliver the ITAM roadmap and continuously improve processes, controls and tooling
  • Maintain accurate asset, licence and entitlement records using automated discovery and CMDB tools
  • Manage asset lifecycles from acquisition to secure disposal, including refresh and end-of-life planning
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, contractual, regulatory and security requirements (e.g. GDPR)
  • Support audits by maintaining clear documentation, evidence and reporting
  • Manage operational vendor renewals, warranties and support agreements within agreed governance
  • Produce dashboards and reports covering compliance, utilisation, cost and risk
  • Partner with IT, finance, procurement and security to optimise value and reduce risk
  • Promote consistent ITAM practices across the organisation and reduce shadow IT

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong experience in IT Asset Management and ITIL-aligned service environments
  • End-to-end knowledge of hardware, software and cloud asset lifecycles
  • Experience with software licensing, audits and vendor management
  • Confident working with asset management tools (e.g. ServiceNow, Xensam)
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder-management skills
  • Able to influence and guide teams without direct line management
  • Detail-oriented, commercially aware and comfortable working with data

Qualifications

  • ITIL v3/v4 Foundation (required)
  • 5+ years’ experience in ITAM, IT operations or procurement
  • Degree in IT, business or related field (desirable)
  • IAITAM or related certifications (desirable)
