Our team of “Base Coat Brainiacs” combines creativity, data, and strategy to deliver measurable results for long-term clients, specializing in Website Design, SEO, Google Ads, Social Ads, Email Marketing, and more.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a motivated, experienced Director of Operations to oversee, scale, and optimize agency operations. This role is key to growing the business, managing a remote team of 20–30 specialists, and building scalable systems. Strong candidates have led marketing agency operations, scaled revenue from $2M to $5M+, and thrive in remote leadership.
This is a full-time remote role with opportunities to grow into a COO position.
You’re a Fit If You Have:
- Proven operations leadership in a marketing agency, scaling from $2M → $5M+ revenue.
- Managed cross-departmental teams (SEO, Paid Ads, Web, Media) remotely.
- Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, margins, and strategic decision-making.
- Experience building/refining SOPs, implementing EOS or similar frameworks.
- Skilled in KPI tracking (SEO, ads ROI, gross margins, labor efficiency, client churn).
- Bachelor’s in Business/Operations/Marketing preferred; EOS or Project Management certifications a plus.
- Proficiency with ClickUp, GoHighLevel, Zapier, and KPI dashboards.
- Excellent communicator, motivating and holding teams accountable, balancing strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize daily operations across SEO, Paid Ads, Web, and Media teams.
- Define, track, and report KPIs to align performance with company growth goals.
- Build, refine, and enforce SOPs for efficiency and scalability.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and margins.
- Recruit, coach, and hold accountable a remote team of 20–30 employees.
- Collaborate with leadership to balance long-term strategy with daily execution.
- Oversee client performance strategies for painting and concrete coating industries.
- Identify bottlenecks, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance.
